Auction & Bidding Help

Important: Auction bids are commitments between marketplace users. Used Pulse provides the bidding technology and records but does not own the item or guarantee the seller, bidder, item condition, authenticity, delivery, payment, or completion of the transaction.

For sellers

When posting an ad, choose Auction / bidding, set a starting price, minimum bid increment, and duration from 1 to 14 days. Once an auction has received a bid, changing its pricing or converting it to a fixed-price listing is not permitted. Sellers must not bid on their own auctions or arrange artificial bids.

For bidders

Each bid must meet the displayed minimum. The highest valid bid recorded when the auction closes wins. Bids cannot be withdrawn through the normal interface, so check the item, price, pickup/delivery terms, and seller information before bidding.

Last-minute bids

To reduce last-second sniping, a valid bid placed during the final 5 minutes extends the closing time to 5 minutes after that bid. Further qualifying bids can extend it again.

Winning and completion

When the auction ends, Used Pulse records the highest bidder as the winner and creates the transaction record. Buyer and seller should use Used Pulse messages and transaction/dispute records when arranging completion.

Prohibited conduct

Shill bidding, bidding on your own item, collusive bidding, manipulating prices, using multiple accounts to influence an auction, or intentionally bidding without an intention to complete the transaction may result in cancellation, account restrictions, or other moderation action.

Technical timing

The server's recorded receipt time and stored bid amount control. Network, browser, device, or third-party outages can delay a bid. Do not rely on a bid submitted at the final second. Used Pulse may cancel or correct an auction when required to address fraud, a material technical error, prohibited content, or legal obligations.
